Privacy Policy
What this website collects, which third-party services are involved, and what happens to the details you send us when you enquire about a project.
Last updated: 23 August 2026
Who this policy is from
This policy explains what happens to information collected through consumeit.in ("the website") and when you contact ConsumeIT about a project.
We operate from Rohtak, Haryana, India, and you can reach us at consumeit.services@gmail.com.
To confirm before publishing: the registered legal entity name and type (proprietorship, LLP, private limited), the registered office address, and company/GST registration numbers if applicable. These are legally required identifiers in most privacy disclosures and we have not assumed them.What we collect
When you simply browse the website
The website itself does not ask you for anything, and we do not run any login, account or user-profiling system. Analytics software (described in the next section) records technical and behavioural information such as:
- pages viewed, time on page and the order pages were visited in;
- approximate location derived from your IP address (country/region level);
- device type, screen size, browser and operating system;
- the referring site or campaign that brought you here.
Your IP address is anonymised before storage in our analytics configuration, so we do not hold your full IP address.
When you contact us
If you send a project brief through the contact form, you provide your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your project description. Phone number, company name and budget range are optional fields you may leave blank.
If you email or message us directly, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message.
Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set any cookies of our own. The only cookies placed by this website come from Google Analytics, which we use to understand how the site is used.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another | 2 years |
_ga_<property> | Google Analytics | Maintains the analytics session state | 2 years |
You can block or delete these through your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. Blocking them does not affect any functionality on this site.
This website does not use browser local storage, session storage or fingerprinting scripts.
Third-party services
These services are active on the website today:
- Google Analytics 4
- Measures website usage. IP anonymisation is enabled. Data is processed by Google LLC under its own privacy terms.
- Google Fonts
- The site loads a webfont from Google's font servers. As with any request to a third-party server, Google receives your IP address and browser details in order to serve the file.
Our code also supports Google Tag Manager, the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity, but none of these are currently enabled — they load nothing unless an account ID is configured. If we enable any of them, this policy will be updated to say so before they go live.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
How we use what we collect
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a scope or quote for you.
- To understand which pages and services people find useful, so we can improve them.
- To diagnose technical problems with the website.
We do not use your enquiry details to add you to a marketing list without your agreement, and we do not run automated decision-making or profiling that produces any legal effect on you.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics property. Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond to it and to maintain a record of work discussed or carried out.
To confirm before publishing: the exact retention periods you want to commit to — for example how long enquiry emails are kept after a project closes, and the retention window set in the Google Analytics property. State a real number rather than “as long as necessary”.Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. Write to consumeit.services@gmail.com and we will respond.
Indian data protection law (the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023) gives individuals rights of access, correction, erasure and grievance redressal. Visitors in the UK, EU and other jurisdictions may have additional or different rights under their own laws.
To confirm before publishing: (a) the named grievance officer and their contact details — Indian rules generally require one to be published; (b) whether you actively market to or serve UK/EU residents, since that determines whether UK/EU GDPR obligations (including a lawful basis and a consent mechanism for analytics cookies) apply to you. Please have a lawyer confirm both.How information is protected
The website is served over HTTPS. It is a static website: there is no database, no admin login and no user accounts attached to it, which removes the most common ways a brochure website is compromised.
Enquiry correspondence is held in our email account, protected by access controls on that account. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and professionals. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or which third-party services we use, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than made silently.
Contact
Questions about this policy, or a request about your information: consumeit.services@gmail.com, or use the contact page.
To confirm before publishing: a postal address for formal notices, and the grievance officer's name, designation and email.
